Locus Town

Description

This is the eleventh place you come to on your Pokemon journey in the Newe Region. You get here after getting HM01 Cut in Candere City. This is a somewhat significant town, but not really. Usually in my cities and towns, the buildings are similar or exactly the same design as ones in the Pokemon games (that's right, not just one). But this one is different. The mansion design is completely my own, and I really like it. You guys tell me what you think, though. I also liked the idea of a gated community (normally the limits of the cities and towns are natural objects like trees, rocks, or mountain slopes).

An interesting fact: "locus" just means "place." I wanted to give it a name that means "rich" or even "enclosed," but I was rushed and kind of lazy.

Just to avoid any questions about it, I draw all of the buildings and other landscape things in 3D, except for north-facing slopes and stairs. The reason for this is that on graph paper, the dimensions of mountain/rise slopes must be completely visible. You can't draw the north-facing slopes behind the rise, because it messes up the spacing.

Points of interest:
Pokemon Center
Pokemart
Rich family's mansion (here you can engage the family one-by-one in daily battles just like in Black and White. Except in my version, you can keep challenging them over and over even after you beat the head of the family)
Entrance to the inside of the Medius Mountains (this is just South of the town, and is blocked by two Galactic grunts. After you visit Ruris Town and talk to Charon, the grunts will have moved and you can follow Team Galactic into the heart of Mt. Medius, where they are attempting to capture Alvakron/Alvakern)
Ultimate Move Tutor's mansion
In my game this move tutor functions a little differently than in canon games. He will teach your starter Pokemon an ultimate move even if it DOESN'T have a strong bond with you. The catch is, he charges 999,999 Poke for low-friendship Pokemon. If it has a high friendship with you, he does it for free. He tells you that many hot-headed trainers come to him with Pokemon with which they are not strongly bonded. He says that they don't want to waste their time bonding with their Pokemon, and semi-reluctantly hand over their money instead (which explains his mansion). You yourself can decide whether to pay or bond.
